After Effects Tutorial - Space Title Sequence
After Effects Tutorial Description:
In this After Effects Tutorial, Mackenzie teaches you how to create a 3D looking space title sequence.
You'll begin by using Trapcode Particular to generate an animated starry sky. Whilst using Particular, you'll learn a variety of techniques using the various settings available to you.
Once motion blur has been added to the particles, the stars will appear more realistic when passed through using the animated camera.
For the text Mackenzie will teach you how to use the stroke option allowing for a transparent looking title placeholder, and once you duplicate this text you'll be left with a 3D looking effect.
Finally by assigning lens flares to lights and performing some simple colour correction, you'll be left with an eye catching atmospheric looking space scene.
Please note this tutorial uses Optical Flares to create the lights, however you can do this with the default After Effects lens flare as well if you don't have that plugin.
